Korean Facials in Palmer, Alaska

You've probably heard Korean skincare means ten steps every night. It doesn't have to. At its heart, it's built on the same idea our spa is: a strong skin barrier does most of the work for you.

In October, we went to Seoul to see it firsthand. We came home with four new Korean facials and a membership built around them, starting November 21.

Why Korean skincare makes sense in Alaska

Exfoliation has its place. It can smooth skin fast, and we understand why so many spas lean on it. But skin that gets stripped over and over has to keep rebuilding its own protection, and that's often where redness and sensitivity show up.

We'd rather build the barrier. When it's strong, a lot of everyday concerns like redness settle down on their own, and your skin is better protected against what leads to fine lines and uneven pigment.

That's why we were drawn to Korean skincare. It's built around hydration and barrier support, not heavy exfoliation. That matters in air as dry as ours.

What we brought
back from Seoul

We go to trainings and trade shows every year so you don't have to sort through the hype yourself. This October, that meant Seoul.

Heather and Arianna spent October 9 to 19 in Korea. They spent three days at the K-Beauty Expo at KINTEX and booked themselves into Korean spas as clients, to feel the ritual and pacing from the other side of the table.

It was so impactful to see how much attention they give every client. We never felt rushed, and we loved how they would anticipate our needs before we even voiced them. We checked out a spa, skin clinic, and head spa and are working to find ways to bring some of the things we experienced here to Palmer.

Four Korean facials

Every Korean facial covers collarbone to hairline, every time. Each one includes:

  • Dr. Platon cold plasma, which helps your skin take in the products that follow

  • TMP, gentle muscle stimulation for a toned, lifted look

  • Your choice of a hand and arm massage or a neck and shoulder massage

  • A 50-minute facial, with 75 minutes booked, so you're never rushed

Each facial is $225, or included in the K-Beauty Membership.

Seoul Golden Glow

Our Korean radiance facial

Our most advanced facial, and the one that gives the most lifted, plumped look of anything we offer. Includes an ingredient rich mask to take home and continue the treatment.

Good fit if: you want to look rested and lifted before a trip or an event.

Seoul Cloud

A brightening facial that uses

oxygenating serums that feel bubbly on your skin. Your skin looks brighter and feels soft when you sit up. Includes a take home brightening and hydrating mask to continue the treatment.

Good fit if: your skin looks dull or tired, especially through a long winter.

Seoul Dew

A barrier strengthening, hydration facial built around PDRN, the hydrating ingredient everyone in Korea is talking about right now. It's in nearly every product in this facial, and we infuse it with the TMP. Clients see a plumper, more hydrated look right away.

Good fit if: your skin feels tight and dry.

Seoul Calm

A Korean exosome facial for visible redness and texture.

The least active of the four. It calms visible redness and smooths texture with an exosome ingredient and lactic acid, one of the gentler exfoliating acids. The calming products stay on overnight, so plan to skip washing your face until morning.

Good fit if: redness is your main concern. Your esthetician will let you know whether it's the right fit for your skin.

The K-Beauty Membership

It's nice to be handed a menu and told to pick, and a lot of spas do it that way. But choosing a facial shouldn't be your homework. We went to school to learn how skin works, and we look at yours every visit, so we'll tell you which facial we'd recommend next and why. You won't have to guess.

The K-Beauty Membership is built around that. Each month, you and your esthetician decide which of the four Korean facials your skin needs next, usually before you leave.

$199 a month, starting November 21. Your membership includes:

  • One Korean facial every month: Seoul Golden Glow, Seoul Cloud, Seoul Dew, or Seoul Calm

  • 10% off all products, and first pick at our new Korean products

  • Annual Discovery Session

  • Birthday gift and members only specials

Members pay $199 for a facial that's $225 for everyone else. Come every month, and that adds up to $312 a year.

On November 21, the Seoul Golden Glow becomes $225. Members keep paying $199.

"Try the South Korean skincare products. You will not regret it. It's my favorite thing Heather has ever carried. The Dr. Platon add-on to your facial is wonderful." — Jamie M. C., 5-star Google review, July 2026

Palmer's barrier-first day spa since 2012, with a 5-star rating on Google.

Questions about Korean facials

What is a Korean facial?

A facial built around hydration and barrier support instead of heavy exfoliation, using layered Korean serums and ampoules. Ours also include Dr. Platon cold plasma and TMP, and cover collarbone to hairline.

Is Korean skincare a good fit for mature skin?

It can be. Skin tends to get drier as we age, and Alaska's dry air doesn't help. Facials focused on hydration and a strong barrier make sense for that.

Do I need a ten-step routine at home?

No. We keep home routines simple, and we'll tell you exactly what to use and why.

Which Korean facial should I book?

Your esthetician will recommend one based on your skin, and you'll decide together. But be aware that because these are more advanced treatments, all clients need a New Client Facial or a Discovery Session before their first Korean Facial.

What is PDRN, and where does it come from?

PDRN is the hydrating ingredient everyone in Korea is talking about right now. It's derived from salmon DNA. If you have a fish or seafood allergy, let us know before your facial and we'll guide you to a different one.

What are exosomes?

Exosomes are one of the newest ingredients in Korean skincare. The one in Seoul Calm comes from a fermented ingredient made from microorganisms found on healthy skin.

Is there downtime?

These are no-downtime facials, so most clients go right back to their day. After Seoul Calm and Seoul Dew, plan to skip washing your face until the next morning.

Do you offer Botox or injectables?

No. We focus on facials and skincare that keep your skin healthy for the long term. If that's what you're after, we'd love to see you.

Where are you, and when are you open?

We're at 941 S Cobb St in Palmer, Alaska, serving Palmer, Wasilla, and the Mat-Su Valley. We're open seven days a week. Call or text 907-795-5528.
